Well, I can now say I've been to Belgium. From what I saw it's not that great, either. Granted, I didn't stray far from the train station in one city, Liege, and the train station was being remodeled, but I still think I was expecting more. I suppose next time I'm there I'll visit Brugge, and probably Bruxelles as well. Perhaps if Kage, the friend I unsuccessfully tried to visit today, is in town then I'll get to see some of the city's nicer parts. Maybe next time. Maybe.
Since first writing this, I've found out that Liege is perhaps the worst city in Belgium to visit, and that there are plenty other, nicer cities around. So I'll see when I'm passing back North.
