My Scholarship entry - Life

Australia | Tuesday, October 21, 2014 | 5 photos

My name is Mitch Watson, I'm 18 and live in Victoria, Australia.
My nan got me in to photography when I was 10, she gave me my first camera which was a Panasonic FZ10. I enjoyed taking photos more than anything, first time going outside with the camera I took over 200 photos of a little bird that I chased around the patio for an hour or so.
When the Panasonic stopped working I traded a few packs of tim tams with a guy in America for his Canon Powershot G7, which I used sometimes but it didn't really interest me.
A few years ago I bought a Nikon D5000 off my brother and got back into photography a lot and I would take photos nearly everyday with it.
Last but not least I now have got myself a Canon 60D and a Gopro Hero 3 Silver Edition. I got them for their HD video resolutions, my friends and I do parkour so I am usually the photographer of our adventures and then I got the idea of taking videos as well to capture the fun times I have.

Photography has been a huge influence in my life, seeing new things and traveling are some of my favourite things to do and without photography I would be a completely different person than I am today. this experience could shape the rest of my life.
