My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

India | Monday, November 7, 2011 | 5 photos

For me travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living. I am an undergrad student with a passion for photography and my key areas of interest are travel, nature, music concerts and architecture. Somehow, all that i love culminates into a vivid journal of my life spread across maps. I have a particular interest in capturing the changing architectural styles, environment, people, culture, different kinds of dishes and fruits available there and even the patterns of nature in different cities and towns; and this just accentuates in India where there is so much diversity in designs, culture and terrain.
I have been so impacted with all my journeys across the lengths and breadths of my country that I started up with a website few months back which promotes the culture of photowalking and travel photography. This really promotes the actual clicking process rather than digital retouching and post-processing. I even write a travel-n-photo blog – eXetras.
Khajuraho is a UNESCO world heritage site and infact is an ancient city of temples located in central India, just nearby to it is Panna National Park renowned for its Tigers and Ken River’s canyons. This city is considered to be very sacred and indeed it enchanted me with its holy aroma and rich heritage. When I visited Panna National Park, it was totally a different surreal world out there; I found some very intriguing stones and pebbles near the canyon area. Going on a trip to South Africa with Jason Edwards would be a dream come true for a travel enthusiast like me! It would really help me in updating the chapter of international exposure in my travel journals along with experiencing rich lifestyle, wildlife and nature of Africa.
