My Scholarship entry - Photos for Knowledge

I have been fascinated with photography since I was a little girl. My father was very creative and loved expressing himself through photography and expanding his knowledge on the subject. I was brought up to be very curious and imaginative, always finding myself using paints, pencils, as well as a camera to strengthen my creativeness that was instilled in me at such a young age.

I am also an extremely adventurous and knowledge-oriented individual, I have been studying archaeology for the past 4 years.
Last year I spent 7 weeks on the central coast of Peru doing research on the ceramics found at the Panquilma Site in the Lurin Valley. While working there I took thousands of photos of the Pacific beaches, the desert landscapes of the coast, the western rainforest, the incredible archaeological site of Machu Picchu and many others, the unique curiosities found in small remote villages like Ollantaytambo, and of course the beautiful sights to see in both Lima and Cusco.

I also permanently live in Canada, a nation rich of its beauty where my photography skills have grown from shooting on the Atlantic Coast of my hometown, to the gorgeous Rocky mountains where I now call home.
