My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I'm sure that I share the same dream as everyone else who has entered to win the Travel Photography Scholarship. My dream is to travel the world with my camera in hand. Documenting my travels, finding stories and sharing them with the world.

Now for a little about me. I started taking my photography seriously when I was 18 years old. Now 24, I have learnt a lot over the past 6 years, but am still keen to learn more. I’m constantly thinking about photography which can drive those closest to me a little crazy.

I made the move from Perth to Melbourne in 2012 to continue my photography studies at RMIT university. I have been lucky enough to have learnt from some of the best in the business. I enjoy challenging myself to get the best photos possible and creating work that I’m truly proud of and I’m not afraid of taking risks. I believe that you need vision, tenacity and confidence in everything that you do.

This travel photography scholarship would be the best way for me to start my photography career. Everyone needs that lucky break or to get their foot in the door. What I hope to gain is an insight into what it’s like to be a working professional out in the field.
