our starting point.. Naya Pul Views[6] typical village scene at Naya Pul Views[6] the steaming Modi River. The cold melted glacial waters steam upon descending to the lower mountain sections creating an amazing view Views[7] interesting building we passed on the way... couldn't quite make out whether it was still in use, or derelict Views[6] donkeys hauling heavy loads throughout the mountains. they, along with the numerous domesticated buffaloes, sheep, horses, cows & dogs literally leave 'shit'lodas of excrement all over the trekking paths Views[7]

Views[7] glad she was actually doing her washing in clear water! my 30 year old guide, Kaji, and 50 year old porter, Rhek, taking a break on a ledge. Note the shoes and socks drying in the sun. One of the biggest isse\ues we had throughout the trek was the damp/wet footwear that lead to more blister susceptible feet Views[6] this kid (Babu) was literally playfighting with the dog. barks, teeth, claws, you name it, the dog used it... yet, Babu kept on going back for more! He finally tired when he got bitten once too many on the ear, which thus lead to a spurt of tears. *sigh*, kids never learn do they? ;) Views[6] he may look peaceful now, but trust me, he's a terror!! Views[6] another kid named Souman Views[6] double-'O'-sevens in the making? Views[6]
