About to leave

RUSSIAN FEDERATION | Tuesday, 4 August 2009 | Views [353] | Comments [5]

So, I'm about to leave for Armenia and to say that I'm 'pretty' excited is actually a bit of an understatement.  I can't wait until I take off tomorrow.  I'm so prepared that I've actually thought about packing my bags and even bought one (yep, this time it's NOT on my way to the airport or at 10:30 before a 2:15 flight).  I'm a demon of organization.  But I HAVE thought about the countries that I would like to visit and I've also thought about some of the clothes that I will buy.  Think cheap, skin-tight, and 'Armani.'

This is my first (and for those that know me, probably both short-lived and my last) attempt at writing a blog about my travels.  But I think this is going to be a lot of fun so I'm going to make a real concerted effort to keep up with it for a few reasons.  First of all, it's the Caucuses.  Second of all, there is a lot of good food there, meaning I'll probably get fat and figured I should document it with photos.  Third of all, I know that most of you are working and this will help you live vicariously through me. I'm really serious about the last one.

Anyways, I leave tomorrow, if you're not too interested, please, don't feel any pressure to read, but if you are, drop me a line now and again and kind of keep in touch.  Hope you enjoy!!

Good job buddy! Pick me up some disgruntled locals and jihad while you are there!

I'll do all I can to pick you up some jihad, but it might be tough given that Armenia is a Christian country. But I promise to try!!!

Nice! Way to go man! Travelling is incredible! I wish I could wander the world instead of being stuck in remote North America... but like you say, now I can live vicariously through you.

Have a great time! Can't wait to hear all about it!
