I completed my first and so far only documentary, “Mostrame”, in the course of my last year at University College. This film explores the lingering effect of the repression during the Argentinean military junta on today’s society. Ever since, I have been looking for new opportunities and ideas to make more documentaries.
At the moment I am working on an atypical documentary about travelling. I will employ the concept of travelling as a means to talk about several societal themes. Therefore, when I found out about your Travel Video Documentary Scholarship, I could not let this opportunity pass.
My video entry is about a very local encounter: my godchild, Tia. My passion for experiencing other cultures and for being on the road lead me to ask whether I could tell a story so close to home with the intensity and wonder which drives me when I am “far away”.
Currently I work part time for a theatre company (communication, pr, production management) in order to use my spare time to finish my current documentary project. This year I invented a name for my video projects and made a website around it: www.skinario.org
