My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Admiring people's visual views of the world has always been a part of my life, so my love of all kinds of art has played a vital role in how I see the world myself. I first found National Geographic in medical centre waiting rooms as a child and have been hooked on the vivid photos and stories of endless variety ever since.

I decided when I turned 20 that it was time to live and explore, I've since been fortunate enough to travel 25 countries in Asia, Europe, North Africa and North America. This has led to an addiction where I can't get enough of being emersed in cultures different to my own. So much so that in August I ended my printing business of 8 years to head out into the world permanently to see where the wind blew me. Unfortunately after four weeks I returned for family reasons and now I've done what I can to help I'll be heading off again early February, hopefully with a diversion to Oman and a new beginning to a career I dream of.

My photos are of the peaceful fishing town of Essaouira, a place dominated by seagulls and wind, my favourite place in the world so far. I hope you enjoy the photos of this enchanting place and gain a feel for what its like to be there.
