My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

The setting sun starts to vanish into a magnificent cloud out over the Atlantic as seagulls sit on the rocks out to shore resting and digesting the evening's scraps thrown out by the local fishermen.

Seagulls dominate both land and air as the fishermen clean their catch in preparation to be sold to the local street vendors and restaurants. The beautiful seaside edge of the Medina glows brightly in the last moments of the days sun light while the seagull in the foreground has had his share judging by the feathers around his beak.

The blue fishing boats of Essaouira sit packed together in the harbour overnight at peace laying in wait for the following days work out at sea.
