It was an unique experience to be in the Lost World….. When I was a child, I had a dream of flying freely like a bird. But as a girl who grown up in a very traditional Chinese Family, I was obligated to put all of the energies into study. Sometimes I felt I was being contained. Nothing has given me more inspirations than reading travel magazines and books. They have opened my eyes to the world, the world I am living in but know so little about. I have become a traveler once I can support myself. Since then, camera has become my tool, to record, to share, to connect and reconnect to the places I had been. Even though I have a career as a computer engineer, travel and photography are still my biggest passions. It’s been a joyful ride for me to capture what I saw, but I feel that my photograph skill shouldn’t stop at the level of recording. I hope it can be improved to an upper level, to be able to speak from my mind and make emotional connections with viewers. Being on a scholarship companies with a National Geography photographer, can give me a once in a life time chance to learn from the best.
