My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
India | Friday, July 5, 2013 | 5 photos
Greenland so far has been a geography lesson but National Geographic has been a companion all through school and college. The prospect of it bringing me a real life opportunity to actually visit Greenland and discover it alongside the powerful world of photography that Jason epitomizes is HUGE.
I would re-learn photography from a photographer who has captured the very breath of the diversity that inhabits different lands, cultures and life-forms.
In discovering Greenland and Jason and in turn being discovered by them, I hope to gain new skills, insights and understanding that will last me a lifetime and fan my hunger to be a true chronicler of my world.
I photograph with a joyful heart. I feel thrilled when the picture speaks to me .I'm self taught and regularly read various photography magazines and try new techniques.
My fourth floor balcony is my laboratory.
I started my photography with the classic 35mm film, experimented with my DSLR and recently saved up to buy a Yashica 635 TLR camera. Using it's 120mm film is like travelling back in history.
I'm a student of law. I enjoy drumming and debating on socio-legal issues.
I value life tremendously and want to live it to hilt.
