No place I'd rather be

Two weeks had passed and I'm still vacation hungover...

I am so grateful to have spent an awesome 10 day vacation with my family. 5 days in Boracay and 5 days in Palawan, 2 of the most popular tourist spots in our country.

See, I wasn't originally part of the Palawan trip but my family who just flew in from Los Angeles, wanted me to come with them so bad that they booked a flight for me. It was literally our first time to all meet each other but in an instant we already all loved each other like we knew each other forever. So I guess that line from Savage Garden's song, "I knew I loved you before I met you" is true.

Fast forward to El Nido... I normally wake up at noon but I usually am a lot better when I'm out of my comfort zone so that entire vacation, I keep on waking up super extra early. I shouted (in my head) "Good Morning, Palawan!" coupled by a smile on my face. I was greeted back by this amazing view from our balcony. For our first day, we booked TOUR A. We went to 4 different spots: Secret Lagoon, Shimizu Island, Small Lagoon, Big Lagoon, and Seven Commandos Beach. Seeing El Nido for the first day, it's BREATHTAKING! If you're down for white sand & crystal clear water, colorful fishes, and rich marine ecosystem, then Palawan is indubitably the place to be! Even if my feet are wounded from stepping on corals, even if I got bruises from playing beach volleyball, even if I was too dark already, even if i aqcuired jellyfish stings, it's all worth it!

Our second day comprised of renting a scooter and cruising around the vicinity. Later that afternoon, we went to Nacpan Beach where they have these majestic waves. After that, we transferred to Los Cabanas Beach to witness the sunset with which it's famous for. We had the best time, took a lot of photos and rode a jet ski! We went to a rasta bar that night and danced the night away along with a lot of hot foreign gals and dudes. Everybody got very turnt up.

Most of us didn't get enough sleep but still, we booked Tour D for our third day anyway. We went to Helicopter island, Secret Beach, Hidden Beach, Star Beach, and Matinloc Shrine. Among all the rest I think I loved secret beach best. We had to go through a small hole which was the entrance to the beach, hence the name. The hole isn't visible during high tide though and the water inside was extra clear!

Over all, it was a perfect summer getaway! But at the end of the day, I do believe that it's not about the place, it's the people you're with.
