My Mongolian Birthday

My birthday this year was not at home for the first time. I spent the rainy, rainy day in a ger in Mongolia. It was miserable at first and then Huyagaa surprised me with a cake, chocolate, and waffle crisps and then 1 beer each for the 10 of us and a bottle of wine to split. I didn't drink but I pretended because it is the custom. Then everybody took turns singing to me! That was the best part!! It turned out okay in the end.

I will be starting my adventure to Mongolia May 5th 2009 at 10 am!

Hope I don't get Swine Flu on the 33 hour trip there~
