Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My friends would describe this 25 year old girl as an all-terrain photo freak. Traveling and taking pictures are my passions. I am always on the lookout for the perfect shot to illustrate my journey; which often involves climbing to unconventional places to get a better angle and getting up before dawn to capture that special light.
Traveling is looking at life with different eyes and photography helps me share my adventures and bring home a piece of the life I leave behind. This is my purpose: taking people places. Making them want to experience the beauty of the world because of the story they have imagined looking at those pictures.
As a child, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always said National Geographic Photographer. Make a living doing what you love most: taking pictures and traveling. For over 100 years National Geographic has not ceased to inspire through the passion of its professionals. Chances like this scholarship happen once in a lifetime. You have to be a sponge and take in every lesson, from photography technique to life skills.
It does not matter how much you have traveled or how many shots you have taken; there is always something new to learn.
