I love meeting new people, experiencing new places and cultures and capturing new perspectives. Photography is one of the ways I am able to capture not only an image, but also a feeling, an emotion and a perspective. We have all heard the saying a picture is worth a thousand words and I believe that saying has held true throughout time. Do I think a picture is as good as the experience or being there first hand? No. But I do believe that sometimes a description alone does not do a place as much justice as a description accompanied by a picture. That is why I love photography. Travel is a passion of mine. I am currently nearing the end of a 16 month around-the-world trip with my wife. Photographing the things I have seen has been one of the best parts! I am also a life-long learner, especially when it comes to photography. I recognize that my skills can always be sharpened and improved upon. I would not only enjoy, but greatly value an opportunity to learn from a photographer so seasoned and talented as Jason Edwards and National Geographic! Thanks, so much, for your consideration.
