My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am constantly telling people that shooting in the manual setting as opposed to automatic doesn't allow the camera to second guess what you are trying to achieve.
I am a bit of a perfectionist, catching a bird in flight with great detail was my biggest challenge, once I understood how DSLR cameras worked, (just over a year ago), it became a reality.
Many of my friends have encouraged me to enter myself here.
I love photography and have spent over $6000 on camera, lenses, filters, etc.
Its a hobby the way I see it, friends and family believe I should go pro.
