Passport & Plate - Painkiller

Ingredients
Ice
2-3 oz dark/spice rum
4 oz orange juice
2 oz pineapple juice
1 oz cream of coconut
nutmeg

How to prepare this recipe
Put all liquids in a pint glass filled with ice. Give a single shake with a cocktail tin or, if you don't have a tin, pour into another glass and then pour it back into the original glass. Top with grated nutmeg.

The story behind this recipe
The Painkiller is synonymous with the Caribbean. It originated in the 1970s at the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands. Drinking it takes me back to White Bay watching the boats come and go. I make it in the winter to remind me of something tropical and I make it in the summer for friends and to bring a little paradise to my backyard.
