Had a wander around Streaky Bay and picked up a few groceries, spoke to a very nice bloke in the local Mitre 10 hardware store. he gave us a few tips on how to tie knots, where to fish, how to fish and when to fish. Back beach is the place apparantly will check that out later.

Found a great little restaurant on the forshore in Streaky bay called 'MOCEAN' had a great little lunch. Seafood antipasto with

Woke up to a Beautiful Morning, the Bay was as flat as a millpond, the Sun was just rising the sky was clear to the North, to the South there were 2 beautiful Rainbows beneath the ominous grey clouds. On no - its spitting, its spitting.

Time to decide if we put up the tent or spend the week in the cabin.

Sue is still in bed, better wake her up and have breakfast.

Camping it is then, found a nice spot to set up camp, right on the beach front. Had a little trouble putting the tent up due to the wind but we got there, should have took photos of how to do it so we know what to do next time

Day 1

1st day driving through the SA country side only stopping for petrol and lunch. though. Nothing interesting here, been there done that up to Port Augusta. (4hrs driving) stopped for lunch in PA though, very nice garlic prawns in Caffe Primo. Got a few extra supplies like a heater for the gas bottle, Weather does not look promising

New to us though was the drive to Streaky Bay through Kimba We did stop, had a coffee and saw the big Galah

Got streaky Bay Caravan Park just when it was chucking it down with rain and it was dark, made an executive decision and stayed in an executive Cabin. Mmmmmm, might just end up staying in the Cabin.
