Started in San Francisco, stayed in Sacramento and learned how to pan gold went out to Bodega Bay and watched the sea lions play. Played some more in San Francisco.

From Sac I Amtrakked down to LA area around Thousand Oaks and Santa Monica Mountains then Amtrakked down to San Jose, Mountain View, and Cupertino.

Nailing down the final details

Flying out on Monday from Houston. Roughly plotting out a path from Pisa to Venice for Carnivale to Prague and places beyond, back to Italy and then down to Florence, Rome and Pompeii and then in March, Plitvice Lakes National Park and the city and ruins of Vukovar on the Danube in Croatia and perhaps Dubrovnik.
