For better or for worse I fell into working for a travel company. After a year and a half of sitting at a desk and daydreaming about photographing the world I could take no more. I quit, and with the money I saved up I bought a one way ticket to Bangkok and started my blog: www.vinnymo.co. It has been over nine months since then and I have used my photography to help an NGO in India ensure that a recently opened tribal land is not taken over by tourism and the western ideal of development, raised money for a women's education program, created an additional source of income for a Buddhist Nunnery on the boarder of Tibet, and have recently run photography workshops with enthusiasts in eastern Nepal. My newest project is to photograph folks around the world who are making handicrafts with sustainable materials in an attempt to re-humanize the idea of purchasing material goods. I have never taken a photography class so this opportunity would help me make even more of a difference in spreading the goodness of people in this world.
