The rise of Intel NUC mini machine to meet Broadwell

NUC (Next Unit Computing) just came out, thought it was a mini machine in terms of Intel whim, I did not expect insist on doing down, but now it has been very formal roadmap , this will evolve into Broadwell.

NUC first generation of processors is 17W dual-core ultra-low voltage version of Ivy Bridge, the second generation of progress to the 15W dual-core Haswell ( Gigabyte enhanced version of Brix Pro is used with the strongest nuclear explicit Core i7-4770R), Earlier this year, also uses 7.5W dual core Celeron Bay Trail platform.

14nm Broadwell will be settled in the fourth quarter of this year NUC, and is divided into Core i5, Core i3 two versions, should all or U series ultra- low voltage version . Both offer 2.5 -inch HDD / SSD, M.2 SSD drive bays , mini HDMI, mini DP output interface ( toshiba satellite a505-s6995 Fan ), USB 3.0 Interface , Wi-Fi and Bluetooth , infrared remote control, replacement of the roof, wireless charging .

Looks really very Lai ah , in particular, can be installed M.2 mini SSDs , just do not know whether the Wi-Fi radio can support the 2T2R 802.11ac.

Broadwell has already bounced into the fourth quarter release, which means that the NUC will be synchronized with the upgrade , the speed is much faster than before , more visible Intel importance of this little guy .

The business platform will be upgraded to Broadwell Core i5, additional support vPro, TPM, video output interface to two mini DP.

In addition , NUC will spend in the first quarter, Bay Trail Atom SoC, the specific model DE3815TYHE/BE, 4GB eMMC storage, support VGA, HDMI, eDP output.

Obviously this is an embedded solution for digital signage ah ah like the demo booth .
