Kuala Lumpur

Well as you can see I am useless at doing this type of thing regularly.

i haven't written since I first arrived in Hong Kong. Now two months has been and gone and my time in Hong Kong flew. I absolutely loved it though!

i think it was the best thing I have done in my life. Now we Emma and I are off on our trAvels and have been gone over a week already. I am loving being kuala lumpur, its warm enough that it feels like home to me after Hong Kong. We have a stunning hotel and a really awesome pool and spa- we paid hardly anything to stay here so I wamnt expecting thatto stoked though. You must excuse the errors- I remember now why I don't do this often. For some reason on here it takes all the words athe merges them together do I can't type the words I want to and end up correcting the whole time. Ha! Anyway yesterday we got to the hotel at 8am Ish after an overnight flight which we didnt sleep on! The lovely people here let us check in 6 hours before we were meant to so we got our room early and made ourselves at home for the next two days. We had a beautiful buffet breakfast for about $10 NZ and me being me- I ate as much as I possibly could didnt I! Then of course I didn't have to eat until dinner ;) we then went and looked at the classic petronas towers and then ended up going out to the batu caves- some stunning Hindu limestone caves with 272 stairs to walk up to get to the top. I was pretty exvited there was monkeys everwhere- first time I've seen them right there instead of behind a cage. They really are amazing but I don't know why peoplto think its a good idea to try and get in their faces. They are wild after all. We went into "the dark cave" and decided we would do a tour through the pitch black cave full of wildlife (with a tour guide, hard hat and flashlight). We saw bats, numerous bugs, a couple of spiders and even a dog! It was really cool re specially learning all about the wildlife inside the cave! day one in Malaysia was a success. will see what today brings!

Week one

So far I have been in hong kong for one week. I can't even explain how much I love it have what I have seen during that time. hong kong is such an amazing and beautiful and vibrant they, there is always something going on. I love how nothing really opens (except for cafes and supermarkets), before 11. And then everything stays open until 1030pm. Even if you go out walking at night to the shops there are thousands of people everywhere, you can't walk 2 meters without having to dodge a lot of people.

the hermitage where I am staying is beautiful, it's like a massive hotel except people live Here. We have access to an indoor and outdoor pool (Which opens today yay), spas, saunas, a gym, pool room, library, day spabasketball courts etc. It really is great but it has to be like that because people live in such sml apartments. I am surprised at how many people hve dogs here considering there is no land or anything so they just take them everywhere. I have seen a few dogs in Prams, one I thought was really cute and tiny and I wanted to pat it but it growled at me and was scary.

Lucky for me there is a cafe right downstairs since out apartments are right in the middle of a mall/ also train station. Pacific coffee is my new favorite place.

so far I have been over to the Hong Kong side of the island twice, we took a train and a bus tStanley on Saturday coz micheal Is doing dragon boating with his work which I might join. Stanley has a beach that was nice but there is rubbish everywhere, and there was a nice market and a French restaurant/cafe where we aTe.

sunday I went back to that side of the island to repulse bay which is the opposite of its name. It has a beautiful beach and a massive temple which is really prettY. I spent most of the afternoon there.

When you catch the bus to that side of the island, the road is soooo narrow and on the side of a cliff. I would like to know how the drivers do it without killing everyone as the buses are huge double deckers and there's about 3 centimeters either side, so another huge bus one side and a cliff face the other. They are amazing though and so far so good!!

also on the drive back from there you can see ocean park, a theme park on the side of a mountain. Looks super fun but the roller coaster comes off twe side of the mountain so its gotta be scary when you are on it!!
