Travel Insurance Claims - True Stories Just some of the weird and wonderful things that happen to World Nomads travellers while on the road

Terrible news

CANADA | Tuesday, 1 March 2011 | Views [1831]

I was travelling in Canada with my fiancée and two days in our trip, I received the terrible news of the loss of my dear mother. We had to return to Greece ASAP and that meant a whole lot of arrangements and a great deal of money amidst the shock of the news. We did manage to arrive the next day to Greece after a 20 hour journey and one month later WorldNomads proved true to their word and paid for all my expenses (and also my fiancee's who was insured as well) covered by the policies.

How WorldNomads.com helped:

They paid EUR 1.927 to cover the costs to return home to attend my mother's funeral.  In addition, the assistance team were very helpful and reassuring during this difficult time. They guided me through the process, and I am very grateful for their help.

Resident of Greece, travelling in Canada.
