Dengue Drama

WORLDWIDE | Tuesday, 16 February 2010 | Views [1737]

I had a headache that for several days was becoming worse and worse. It began to be accompanied by body aches, which also worsened. When I woke up in the morning the pain was so intense that I had bouts of nausea and had difficulty seeing and even opening my eyes because of the intensity of the pain. I had waves of chills and heat, and was extremely sweaty and hot to the touch. My mind became unclear, and I lost track of time and was having difficulty formulating my thoughts and speaking, and the events of the day are still quite hazy in my recollection. My wife decided it was time that I see a doctor, and we went to the Hanoi Family medical practice. I was examined by a physician there who decided I needed to be transferred to the French Hospital of Hanoi for observation and further tests. I was transferred there via ambulance and was seen in the ER by a doctor who decided I needed to be admitted to the hospital again for further observations and tests and medication. After several hours, including multiple tests and medicines, the doctor decided that I likely had a viral infection, possibly Dengue fever, but that I was well enough to fly and I was discharged with several prescriptions.

How WN Helped

They compensated for the costs of my medical bills and prescriptions from both hospitals.
