Travel Insurance Claims - True Stories Just some of the weird and wonderful things that happen to World Nomads travellers while on the road

Hold on Tight!

VIETNAM | Wednesday, 3 March 2010 | Views [2677]

On our trip in Vietnam, we rented scooter taxis to take us to Monkey Island. The road was very winding and on our return trip a sharp turn caused me to fall off the back of the scooter and slide a few meters across the gravel road. I was stopped by a sign post which resulted in road rash, a cut lip and a broken leg. We were in a very scarcely populated area with no one around to help. We managed to flag down a passing 4WD and I was laid in the back as the driver took us to Nha Trang Hospital.

How WN Helped

They paid for the cancellation costs of the remainder of my prepaid tour and for a ticket from Hanoi to Kuala Lumpur.

PAID AUD $703.36
