My lenses are now permanently open.

Early this year, I did what I thought was impossible; filming and editing my first documentary with an old Ipad3. Despite being my first time filming and editing, I went on to win the RTE/Thomson Foundation Mobile Journalism award in Dublin. My entry was chosen among entries from top journalists and filmmakers around the world. Since then I have been practicing mobile Journalism because I have been introduced into this incredible world of film-making and I am thoroughly excited.
I am about completing a 5-week Multimedia Journalism training course in London by the Thomson Foundation where I was taught by RTE's Glen Mulcahy on mobile filmmaking and this has equipped me with the necessary skills to start my journey as a filmmaker. I originally wasn't scheduled to be a part of the course but with drive and determination, I raised £3,000 in just over a month to attend the course which is unprecedented by anyone in my field in Nigeria.
I hope this proves that I am determined to pursue this and I am absolutely committed to it.

I believe I am the perfect recipient for this scholarship because I have drive, passion, commitment and an eye for beauty.
