My name is Tallie Garey. I am a travel enthusiast, environmental activist and visual communicator. I have been obsessed with photography, travel, nature and learning about other cultures for as long as I can remember. I have chosen to dedicate my career to sharing stories that inspire others to celebrate the similarities and differences found around the world. I want to help people appreciate how amazing nature is, and how interconnected we are with it and with each other. I have been fortunate to travel to Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, England, throughout the United States and parts of western and eastern Canada. I live in Toronto, Ontario Canada, and I look forward to discovering and sharing more of the incredible planet we live on. One of the reasons I am hoping to win this scholarship is to rebuild my portfolio. I recently lost 98% of my photographs when my hard drive malfunctioned, and this scholarship would be an amazing opportunity to start fresh.
