My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

I'm a final year diploma photography student from Malaysia. My main area of interest is travel photography. I love culture, traditions and anything that makes a place, a country. Travel photography is a field that allows me to meet new people and learn new things. At the same time i'll try my best to capture the essence of a place , environment to be shared with my viewer to make them feel as if they're there in the middle of everything.
These photos are taken in the heart of Malacca. Malacca is a historic state in Malaysia. Recently it has been granted the UNESCO Heritage Site recognition. To me what makes Malacca so special besides the heritage buildings are the warm and friendly people . The photo series shows the heart of Malacca, THE PEOPLE .
