Honeymooning in Bora Bora

In May 2004, my husband and I traveled to Rangiora and Bora Bora, Tahiti for our honeymoon. It took 30 hours to get to our final destination, but well worth it. I did get tonsilitis on the way there and had to visit a physician for a prescription, luckily I was able to get to a doctor during our layover on the main island.

In March 2006, my husband and I took our first ever...no hotel reservation vacation! It was a little scary at first, not knowing where we would sleep at night, but I got over it very quickly. EVERYONE is nice in New Zealand, and I do mean everyone. We started out in Christchurch and made our way south. The roads are very well marked, and the Department of Conservation has done a spectacular job at marking areas of interest. We hiked up the Franz glacier, kayaked through the Abel Tasmen Sea (MUST DO), and biked to several vineyards. We were gone 2 1/2 weeks, and I wished we could have stayed longer. I am a challenged stick shift driver, so unfortunately my husband did the majority of the driving. It was a trip of a lifetime and hopefully we can go back some day!! CHEERS!!
