I am in the Australian Army and one of the reasons I love this job is I get to travel. Approximately 8 yrs ago I travelled on my own to Brazil for 3 months and then went onto engage in a safari in Kruger National Park. It was a trip of a lifetime. Unfortunately I only had an old film camera, but that didn't stop me from taking OVER 1,000 photos. Within the year since I brought my digital SLR I have taken over 600 photos of my gorgeous husky, over 400 photos of a pair of Yellow-Bellied Sunbirds, plus hundreds of other random photos. My passion is photographing animals and scenery, but what ever I am taking a photo of my intention is to have a picture that paints a thousand words. I hope to gain the understanding of what it takes be a great photographer and how to write the thousand words in the photo or to leave the onlooker inarticulate. Another passion of mine is learning. I am a hands on learner and never give up.
