Heaven within a Megacity

My Scholarship entry - Richmond Park - Nature within a Megacity

The ability to capture a moment forever, and to share this moment is what is most captivating to me about photography. From explaining the life cycle of a ladybug to the developments of a political protest, I dream of a career where i can capture and share every one of these moments.

Photography has regretably not always been a part of my life. It was when i purchased a cheap dslr to take traveling with me around Europe, my first camera for my first travels, i instantly became passionately affixed. Discovering such a variety of cultures, architecture, wildlife and landscapes embedded within me a wanderlust and a desire to find out more about the world.

Since returning home i have searched locally for inspiration. My entry is of Richmond Park, a royal park that hasn't changed in it's history as London has grown to envelope it. With it's protected population of Red and Fallow deer it represents my love of nature so close to the multi-cultural cosmopolitan of London. I am self-taught with no guidance and would cherish this opportunity to learn and work with Jason. Hopefully to will bring me closer to my dream of capturing more of the world and it's beautiful inner-workings.
