Sharing the Rough

I am a narrative and documentary cinematographer. My job is to capture story, character and emotion through imagery. My work has allowed me to travel across the world. When capturing a culture and environment, an outsider's perspective can be so honest because they are unbiased; taking in everything they see with a truthful response. My fiancé is Colombian and I have fallen in love with the culture. I have spent hours photographing the people, the beauty, and the landscapes. Following is a link to photographs I have taken in Colombia:
https://www.facebook.com/streetartistpictures/media_set?set=a.3228066503882.154941.1333151213&type=3

Last year I had the opportunity to shoot a documentary in Africa, and the experience was inspiring. Leading up to the doc I had no interest in documentaries. Then I began preparing and started to watch documentaries. At the Anneberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles, there was the exhibit; "The Power of Photography: National Geographic 125 Years", and I was moved to take a deeper look at photo-journalism. I brought the magazine to Africa and constantly found inspirations to photograph people and the world around them.

This is a link to some of my photography in Africa:
https://www.facebook.com/streetartistpictures/media_set?set=a.10203233955473030.1073741837.1333151213&type=3

This would be an opportunity of a lifetime, and my inspirations would capture the culture of Colombia. Being mentored by Brain Rapsey would be an absolute privilege.
