Russia Awaits

The plans are being made to climb Mount Elbrus in July, along with some old friends and some new. Our tour operator, Pilgrim Tours, has received our payment and I have made reservations for my flights inside Russia.

Heading Home from Aconcagua

Well, it's all over but the flight home. Thankfully, I didn't have to use the safety net WorldNomads provided, though two of my fellow trekkers will be. For 13 days a group of five tested our stamina, fitness, and determination in ascending Argentina's formidable Mt. Aconcagua. On Day 13, in cold but clear skies, each of us stood atop this massive peak, achieving our own goals and personal reasons for having chosen this challenge. Frostbite, ataxia, HAPE & HACE, and the potential for rockfalls in addition to simple illness all made starting this journey without travel insurance impossible. Thank you WorldNomads for giving me the security and peace of mind to make this trek possible!
