The Working Life hahhaha

Well it has one month since we both started work and things are looking real good. Stix has been getting heaps of sales which means a good bonus at come pay day. Plus her boss gave them a voucher to have a massage worth 50 euros. Also a resturant voucher worth 50 euros to a restruant of our choice. We are thinking a big feed of japanese will do us fine. Im working at the "MB 92" Boat yard for a compnay called "seaskin international". Real cruzy job buffing and repolishing the big boats. These boats are huge, most of them have acouple jet skis and skidoos on board as well. Tough life for the people at the top. Handy people to know, im making quite an effort making friends with most the crews down there. Hahahah hoping to get invited out and get diving, i wish. Good people though, caught up with most of them to watch the cricket final at the Fastnet Bar. Which is now our local even though it takes half an hour to get to. Funny though we are hanging out with aussies, saffas and english people again. Got some day work on one of the boats this week back on the tools again. Really looking forward to it. Good pay and cash too. Alot of money to be made down there, just knowing the right people. Doing some touch ups on some masts this week going to be about 70 meters in the air in a bowsons chair. Should be a fun day. Beats roofing i know that.

New House,new bed,good food....

Welcome to flat 1a , on the forth floor of building number 172 on le carrer de Sicilia.... oh oh and we have an elevator!!!!! And a balcony!!!We went to the beach today at Port Olympic to enjoy the sunny weather, unfortunately by the time we have gotten out of bed , eaten and showeres, a chilly sea breeze had picked up but we managed to catch some rays anyway. Suffice to say we were not the palest people on the beach but we were pretty close! The past two weeks have been pretty busy, catching up on sleep, eating , shopping at the market and enjoying the sunshine... oh and 'speaking' spanish. Bens favourite Spanish word bien pronoun been which means good but he only likes it cos it souds like his name... We went to this bar last night called the Dow Jones with Max (the Guy we live with) and some of his friends from the language school. After paella and mojits we headed out to this places that operates like the stock exchange. There are ´screens with all the drink prices on and every so often a siren sounds and the 'stock market' crashes. All the prices go down somes times by one or two euros and every body rushes to the bar to buy drinks. It was lots of fun and we met loads of cools people. THe job hunt is still on, but I (Sticksy) have an interview on Monday. Fingers crossed.

Not sure if we mentioned before but the food here is amazing and super cheap, especially all the fruits and vegetables. We managed to get a kilo of steak, seven tomoatoes, halks a kilo of muchrooms, half a kilo of potatoes, 2 long sausages, three avos ,2 lemons, four pieces of dried alty fish (Bens favourite new snack) for about 14 euros. amzing. We are poor but eating like kings....

Love to all, wish you were here!!

Day one

Arrival time 16.04

After dumping our WHOLE LIVES weighing a grand total of 53 kg, we wandered the streets looking for ,amongst other things, food. we found heaps of it too...
BENNOS COMMENT. loys of good meat, you can buy a whole leg of cow for about 40 euros. good times||.cant find the exclamation mark button on the spanish keyboard...

The rather dissappointing references wre the only downer of the day but we were very happy anyway because the temperature was 23 degrees. hahaha suck on it those of you reading from the walkabout in Bromley. We ate pasta fresh ice cream olives and salami and the markets here are brilliant. The bottle of red wine we bought was 62 cents. we have only had half of it...

Final comment . it is going to be hard to shag with 6 other people in our room but they all seem to be leaving to going out on the piss so fingers crossed...

Barcelona is fabulous...hopefully i can work out how to use the keyboard soon as well..
