Photos: A glimpse at the Dolomite Ranges

I've always fantasized about becoming a photographer. When I finished high school I purchased a DSLR. I began a beginners course in an attempt to satisfy the appetite.

I was unsure about the area I wanted to excel in. I sampled sports, portraiture, and landscapes. After understanding my palette, I aspired towards Photojournalism.

Motivated by a love of natural light, spontaneity and the works of Steve McCurry, I proceeded to get myself some experience.

By age 23, having built up some savings, I endeavored on what my friends and family called 'The trip of a lifetime'.

I traveled solo across the vast continent of Europe for 16 months, encapsulating the mysterious life of the land in pixels.

Having just recently returned to Australia penniless, I feel much richer than before I left.

I scaled mountains, braved harsh climates, befriended the unapproachable, became vulnerable and opened my mind, all in the pursuit of capturing curiosities.

I relish the idea of working alongside Jason Edwards and digesting his experience.
