My Scholarship entry - Through Local Eyes

My name is Stanislava (Stasy) Kara and I have a good amount of experience in TV and film making. As a diplomat offspring, I have traveled the world and cultural peculiarities have always impressed me. I`m always inspired to look at places through the eyes of the locals.
I worked for a company that made reports on emerging markets for Forbes, The Times and Washington Post where I met influential people such as presidents, ministers, and CEOs as well as many regular local people. I am very open with people and we quickly find a way to talk to each other. I have lived for a few months in Ukraine, India , Egypt , Colombia , Russia , Cape Verde and Indonesia.
I speak five languages, I have been a TV presenter for more than three years and have been involved with many travel videos and documentaries. I like to write about my adventures which is why I am the author of a fiction book about travels and art called Fake is a state of mind (available in Amazon both in English and Bulgarian).
If I win this scholarship, I would not hesitate to create a product that would be both interesting and clever, as well as passionate as those are qualities I believe I possess.
Rio, here I come:)
