For me photography is a medium to communicate an emotion, idea, experience or a cause and thereby initiate an action by the viewer. Communication is complete only when the viewer understands the emotion, idea or cause and acts on it. My love for travel photography has taken me to 7 countries and my photographs have inspired some of my friends to take up photography or visit the places that I have visited. My photographs ignites a person’s lateral thinking and gives a different perspective of an object already known to him. A sense of satisfaction and motivation overpowers me when I am told that, ‘I have been to this place many times before, but I have never seen anyone do it the way you have captured it differently & beautifully’. Echoes of these words make me forget the pain involved in clicking that perfect shot. I have always wanted to pursue photography, but it never materialized. After working for 6+ years, I feel that it has to be NOW or it shall be NEVER. If at all I qualify for the scholarship, it shall be a photographer’s dream come true.
