      <title>My Photo scholarship 2011 entry</title>
<description>7 years ago I discover the magic of photography, and ever since I'm in love with it.
Photography changed my way of looking at world, and made me enjoy world around me, I even constantly adjust car mirrors while driving so that horizon is at 1/3 of a frame.
I love traveling and spend every free moment traveling. So far I've been four times in Africa, always seeking a way to go back.
As I like documentary photography I mostly document Croatian christian missioners work in Africa so all the photos are taken in schools supported by Croatian missioners in Tanzania and Uganda.

      <title>My Photo scholarship 2010 entry</title>
<description>These photos shows class mates of Karatus elementary school.
Karatu is a small town in northern Tanzania, although located between two tourist attractions: Lake Manyara and crater Ngorogoro that fact did not affect the behavior of local people like in other touristic locations where shouts: "Mzungu, give me money!" and according behavior has become standard greeting for foreigners.
Residents of Karatu still show "pure instincts" when meeting foreigners like curiosity and often joy that at best can be recognized in children behavior which these photos represent.

I'm young amateur photographer from Croatia who live for traveling and photographing. I like to travel to third world countries visiting orphanage and hospitals run by Christian missions whose work I document and thru Croatian magazines and various volunteer organizations activities like organizing exhibition and selling pictures and calendars with income being sent to missions.
Since I'm self taught photographer winning a scholarship would help me a lot in improving my story telling abilities and potentially help me gather some more supporters for missions.
