My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Australia | Monday, January 14, 2013 | flickr photos

Hi, my name is Michael Bove.

Born and raised in Melbourne I relocated to Sydney when I was 10 with my family.

I went to Japan in January of 2007 and purchased my Nikon D80.
That trip opened my eyes, and my lens.
I'd never been much for photography but that changed in those 10 short days abroad.

I'm now 27 and an avid photographer who has dreamed of working with National Geographic since that very trip.
I look at this wondrous world of ours and I want to share what I see, I don't want these moments to slip away, to go otherwise unnoticed by the masses.

More so, I want people to see what I see, the otherwise hidden beauty of this world that can be tapped into just just looking at things from a different angle, adding another perspective, or just taking a few moments longer to spot what has been missed by so many before.

More so, I want my skill and ability to grow, so that I can share more, to not be held back by my current skill set, I want to grow and develop as a photographer and as a person.
I would love to learn from an amazing photographer such as Mr Edwards, as with each passing day I know I can always learn more about this world and photography.

Peace out~
