Today is day 3 in New Zealand. I have just been relaxing and sleeping basically. Found out yesterday that I got a job for 6 months, in A town called Haast. It is on the South Island, about 2 hours from Queenstown. A small town of about 250 people, with no cell reception, and minimal internet. I will be waitressing/bartending. On my days off travel to Queenstown or Franz Joseph Glacier as they are both close. I will stay in Auckland until next Friday then fly to Queenstown, stay in Queenstown for 1 night then bus to Haast!!

Arrived in Auckland New Zealand at 5:30 a.m. On Thursday September 29, customs was a breeze. Got a bus to my hostel Base Backpackers, then just hung out until I could check in at 2pm. Got my phone hooked up with a number. Was super tired so I layed down for a sleep. Ended up sleeping from 2:30-6pm Went grocery shopping then went back to bed. Going to look for work for the rest of week. Already met lots of cool people doing the whole working holiday visa for a year!
