I grow up in a farm house really far away from the center of Istanbul. I was always inside of the nature and authentic people. This changed all my point of view to life. Now i'm on my senior year at university, i decided to live in Sicily for couple of months for shoot one documentary about the religion, music, rituals. It was hard to do these without money but i found sponsors for this, human relationship is important for my dreams. My point in this life is working in Nat Geo like you. I start to have this dream since i was 14 and i mail them a lot when i was in that age. Now i'm shooting freelance documentary and photo about nature, culture, food. One of my documentary showed in documentary channel. But beside these, taking photo is different then a video for me, getting that moment in a pixels is amazing. I love to soot the moments. I don't really like fashion photography or etc. I don't photograph the subject. I photograph what is different for me, what i did't saw before. If i win this, i'm sure it's gonna be a huge step for my Nat Geo dream. And i'll learn a lot from you! I always try to travel and shoot when i can. My first documentary was about Madrid, africans.(30min.) My professional story start like this. I get my camera and all what i have and go to Madrid. Shoot the africans community of Ahmedu Bamba, i was the filmmaker. After when i turn to my country, channels wanted this documentary and i give it a go. The only problem was money about my travels and documentaries, what i did for going to Sicily was full motivated performance, i get 3 sponsors, North Face,my cinema university and TED. I got my money and backpack to Sicily, to my wonderland. My camera and my videos photos are likemy babies i take care of them day by day, when people start to see what im doing with my art, news papers wanted to publish my photos and me to write something about it. The thing is, i never get tired because i love this, Im freaking out when i see something natural and diffferent. 2 days ago i saw this scholarship and i start to prepare 3 min video from my sisicly video archive. Was hard because i have a lot more to say! Being natural and happy is my key. I'm a active 20 year old girl whos never wanna miss any chance! Mexico awwr! What an amazing plan, all these masks colors, costumes the people act, im excited to shoot these stuff! Mexico was on my to do list with this festival, for the reason when i saw this 2 days ago i get on my adobe premiere quickly and started to create!
