My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

A few years ago, I wanted to be a traveling photographer so bad that I sold all my belongings, moved into my van, and traveled the country for 5 months to make a documentary and take pictures. When I got back to edit the footage, I had a big realization. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING. The footage had so many issues with audio, shaky camera, etc....So I decided to take film and photography classes to catch up. I now want to get into the field so bad, but just need to be under the wing of the right mentor.

I have an DEEP love for capturing beauty and an INTENSE passion for travel. I've already shown the ambition by putting myself out there. I didn't wait for an opportunity. I created one and took away many lessons from it.

I know how to use a Canon 7D and how to edit with Photoshop and Lightroom and Final Cut Pro. I haven't been able to turn it into a succesful career just yet, but I feel that I'm right around the corner!

I know how to brand and market myself, and I KNOW that I can turn this into a successful career. I just need this opportunity to prove to myself & to others that the universe conspires to help us achieve our dreams, but only through passion and determination!
