My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

I am a photographer and traveler since 1982. My main interests are wildlife, travel and portrait photography. I am an academic by profession, so I like to write articles for magazines, decorated with photographs I've captured. The photos I've submitted are about China and Chinese people. All taken with a 35mm equivalent fixed lens Leica camera (X1). They are not digitally modified except for b&w Points, sharpen and re-size. There are 350 million people living in poverty in China. This equals to the population of USA. Chinese people regardless of age are doing their best to earn their lives.
