A spiritual journey to serendipity https://journals.worldnomads.com/serendib/ Sun, 12 Apr 2026 20:15:33 GMT World Nomads Adventures I grew up in a mixed race/religion family in NZ and found it very hard to fit in and be accepted .<br/><br/>This outsider's perspective helped me to see the world differently. Instead of division I saw The Divine, musing it’s our differences that make us human.<br/><br/>When asked at the age of 9 what I wanted to be when I grew up, it was to travel the world taking pictures for National Geographic!<br/><br/>I got my chance with a 3yr OE in 2005. I bought a DSLR, started a travel photography course, and amassed over 15,000 images from Madrid to Mumbai! (commendable mention in the 2007 TPOTY awards.) <br/><br/>I truly believe that my unique perspective enabled me to notice and appreciate the different cultural nuances that permeated through the various places I went.
