I’m submitting the most magical place I experienced, Yosemite. It's a place I’ve long wanted to visit, after admiring the photography of Ansel Adams. I purposely left people out of this series because I feel that is what the park stands for, a place with as little human interference as possible. Passion and a single-minded obsession with story telling has inspired me to be constantly creative. The reason I’m applying for this scholarship is not only to learn from the best – it is also because the more I understand others and the world around me, the photographs I take become true expressions of life. I believe photography should not only improve the photographer, but also improve the world. I would make a great assistant. I listen, learn quickly, have an eye for detail, and not to mention, I can carry loads of gear. Five years out of University, I have rapidly worked my way up to the position of Art Director, which demonstrates those qualities in me.
