Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am Santosh Reddy, an engineer by profession. Like most people in the contest I have always had interest in photography and travel, thanks largely to Nat Geo and BBC.
I have been practicing the art of photography for nearly 2 years. Having never had a formal education in photography, most of my learning’s are from observing images, reading articles, free training videos available online and mainly from the mistakes committed during previous shoots. Even though I do not differentiate and practice all styles of photography from street to fashion, I like my work best when I document any fair, festival or cultural events.
Together with photography I like travelling, trekking and cycling. At this moment I am in a dilemma if I should take a break from my present job and take up photography, if I win here I will take this as a sign and this provide the confidence that I need to take photography professional. It will also provide me an opportunity to improve my photography skill and learn new ones, clear all the doubts I have about the profession. Provide first hand field experience on how to work on an assignment and in a team.
Not to say a chance to see and experience Greenland.
