Bagan the landscape of temples.

A sunrise of discovery and people that where sealed off the the rest of the world. Political reasons divided these worlds, now as they open in a bang tourists will flow into one of the greatest temple landscapes in the world.

It was a privilege to be in Bagan to know people from there and the close towns. It felts weird to ride a ricksha in a tremendous heat.

Thought after I took these pictures, balloons started flying around the temples but at 350USD each flight it was a forlorn dream.

Myanmar is a country in trouble but one that starts to open. Not everyone will visit, but those that do, will most likely come with an incredible souvenir. In a place where only pointing the camera at some temples you create a beautiful photograph, there is no justice to the place.

Next to the Irrawaddy, destroyed by earthquakes, re-built and still an active temple site. It's an enduring testament to the will of its people.

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I want to serve as a bridge between people, so we can all know from where we all are. I was born in Guatemala, I've been lucky to travel and experience the world. But I wish to comunicate more to a broader audience, I wish to understand who we are as human beings.
