Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am a born explorer and adventurer. And being a female belonging to a third world country there is a mutual understanding of people around the globe that may be adventure might not be in the list of things that I need to do before I die. But frankly the love and care of people around me and the little world I have created in my mind regarding thrills of life...of being a nomad make me push the limits. I always wanted to work with national geographic since I was little and even now thinking about it makes my heart pitter patter because it might be impossible but may be ( I hope so) this scholarship can make my dream come true!
The pictures that I am posting belongs to one of the most memorable event of my life. It is a performance of French musicians with Traditional Balochi Folk singers & dancers at National College of Arts. The beauty of event was that we neither speak balochi language (as we are in punjab) nor french and neither did performers understood each others native language but it didn't matter because we were all connected by the music that brought joy to our ears and amusement & pride in the artists hearts regarding their work the whole night was memorable and unique.

Hello. My name is Sania Khan I am a free spirited person who loves adventure and food. National Geographic and me have a history. It is fair enough to say that I dreamed of being a photographer because of National geographic, as I watched it since my early childhood till now. It is my dream to capture things that I experience everyday the true Pakistan that I know and love which is hidden from the world. I am a kind of girl who walks around the streets which people avoid just to get a taste of adventure. I love to interact and Love the exotic life and food. My biggest wish and dream is to work for National Geographic, and If I get this Scholarship I might get a taste of it! They say dream and dream BIG and I have a very vast imagination in this department. These photos are taken in Jinnah Bagh previously known as Lawrence Garden in British rule, its located near Mall road. This is one of the most famous Parks of Lahore for local outing and it has a small world of its own. I love the beautiful blend of Victorian architecture with local people. and the feeling of leisure and peace in our busy lives
