I'm Sami, a Peace Corps Volunteer currently living and serving in the beautiful country of Uganda! I have been here for two years now, and the adventures have been endless and breath-taking! I'm finishing my service and returning to the States in December. When I return, I'm not sure what direction I want to head in my professional life, but photojournalism has caught my eye after falling in love with traveling and helping others to better understand our world! I would really love this trip for professional experience, and because I have been dreaming about exploring the Amazon for my ENTIRE life! Due to my minimalistic life here, I do not own a nice camera. The photos I'm submitting were taken from my iPhone and I'm aware they are not the finest quality, but I hope they can adequately show off my keen eye for beauty! I do have experience with higher quality cameras and editing programs, as I was the Editor-In-Chief of my high school yearbook, but I'm hoping for a refresher since its been awhile!
